Can you believe that this minimalist fall wedding was planned in less than 3 months?! Rosemary and Andre proved that it could totally be done and everything came together so beautifully! They were so intentional with every part of their wedding day — it was celebration of their union, but also of family and friends from across the country. Andre had written a letter to Rosemary to read, right before their first look in the back of the chapel. The anticipation and joy of seeing his bride for the first time was palpable and I’m so happy that they got to share in this private moment together.

Also, how gorgeous are the bridesmaid’s sage green dresses and bouquets?! It’s super fun when couples include little details that reflect them - like the colourful socks that all the groomsmen wore! A powerful moment I got to capture was when the bridesmaids and groomsmen prayed over the bride and groom respectively, right before the ceremony. What better way to quiet their hearts and draw them back to the Creator of marriage than prayer.

As Rosemary walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her father and gaze fixed on her groom, she radiated quiet beauty and strength. The ceremony started with worship as they sang praises along with their closest family and friends. One of my favorite parts of the ceremony is when they exchanged vows and Andre had planned to have his vows translated by Rosemary’s cousin to Chinese, so that her side of the family would be able to understand. Vows exchanged, rings exchanged — and they were pronounced husband and wife by their pastor! We took newlywed portraits in the chapel afterwards and the soft light that flooded into the space was incredible.

The reception took place in a beautiful banquet hall, complete with a delicious traditional 12 course Chinese banquet. We love a good champagne tower! Everyone spent the night eating, toasting, chatting, dancing and celebrating the newlyweds. I loved it when Rosemary’s parents surprised the crowd with an entire dance sequence! Congrats Rosemary + Andre and thank you so much for trusting me with documenting your incredible day!!
